Goldwell Hill Parking

Since the Brockwell Lib Dem Focus Team got the double-yellow lines put on the allotments side of Goldwell Hill, many vehicles have started parking on the other side of the road - sometimes causing a nuisance by blocking drives.

People have been fly-tipping around the Foston and Hatton Drive hedges and open-spaces. It's a real eye-sore and it costs you the Council taxpayer money to have the rubbish removed.

Speeding on Burnbridge Road

A number of residents have contacted the Local FOCUS team about speeding traffic on Burnbridge Road. Although the County Council (which has responsibility for roads) has looked at the issue in the past, there is still a problem. Barrow Hill & New Whittington Cllr David Stone has asked the county to look at the situation again.

New Police Station for Stone Lane?

Barrow Hill & New Whittington councillors David Stone, Paul Stone and John Bradbury are calling for the old toilet building on Stone Lane to be converted into a sub-station for local police. It would be ideally situated halfway between town and Staveley and could be a great help in fighting local crime and antisocial behaviour.
