Suicide Awareness Training Chesterfield 13/12/2019

Why do we need Suicide Awareness Training?

On average 16 people kill themselves each day in the UK.

Men are 3 times as likely to take their own lives as women.

Rural Action Derbyshire's suicide awareness project exists to raise awareness and help prevent suicide. We believe that suicide is everybody's concern, and that individual tragedies can be prevented.

Increasing Awareness and Breaking Down Barriers

This FREE half-day training is suitable for anyone in a public facing or community representative role in Derbyshire (excluding Derby City), and would be of particular interest to those whose voluntary or paid work may bring them into contact with people at greater risk of suicide and self-harm.

It will be held at St John's Parish Centre, Walton Back Lane, Walton, Chesterfield, S42 7LT on 13th December from 9.30am to 1pm.

The seminars are supported by funding from Public Health at Derbyshire County Council.

Please note we can not offer free places on these courses to people living and working outside Derbyshire.
