Do you want to demand better for your family, community and the country?
Liberal Democrats believe in a Britain of equality, openness and kindness. A Britain with clean air, high-quality health and social care, transport and education.
We are the party taking on power and privilege to restore fairness and opportunity for everyone.
Why be a member?
Our members are driving our party's fightback to ensure that Britain has liberal voices, standing up for liberal values, demanding a better future for Britain.
Fed up with the bleak future being offered by the Tory and Labour parties?
What are the benefits?
There are many! Here is just a few:
- Vote on party policy
- Vote in leadership elections
- Propose policies
- Access party training
- Campaign in your community
- Be a part of your local party executive
- Stand as a council or parliamentary candidate
So if you share our values, want to help us win locally or nationally or simply demand better for your community and country, your first step is to join the Liberal Democrats today.
How much will it cost?
What you pay is up to you.
Membership starts at £1 a month (£12 a year) with the recommended rate at £6 per month (£72 a year).
Students can join us for £1 for the first two years of their membership.
Concessionary subscriptions of £6 are available to those under 26 and recipients of state benefits (excluding the state pension or child benefits).
Where does my money go?
Unlike the Tories, we don't rely on a small number of super-wealthy donors. Unlike Labour, we don't rely on the trade unions.
Everything we do relies on funds from our members. Membership fees go directly towards making sure we're ready to fight and win elections.
What happens when I join?
We'll send you a membership card and pack in the post shortly after you sign up.
We'll also help you get further involved with the party by sending you information about local campaigns, training sessions, federal conference and much more.
If you've got more questions, you can send us a message at contactus@chesterfieldlibdems.org.uk
