Chesterfield Action Day
Britain is getting back to work…
Lib Dems in Government have helped businesses create over 1 million private sector jobs, including...
Jobs for young people
We've helped create 1.2 million apprentices in England and are pushing the Scottish and Welsh governments to create more. Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for young people to improve their skills and for businesses to attract new talent. That's why we're campaigning to double the number of businesses that employ apprenticeships.
Jobs in manufacturing
One of our main priorities is to kick start Britain's manufacturing sector. That's why we've put £5.5 billion extra into hi-tech manufacturing, science and renewable energy.
Jobs across the UK
For too long governments have focused only on banking and the City for economic growth. Our £2.6 billion Regional Growth Fund gives money to help diverse businesses grow right across the UK.
Jobs Building Britain
We are using £15.3 billion to improve Britain's roads, railways and housing, helping to create jobs now and build a strong economy in the future.
Help for job creators
From next year, we're giving employers £2,000 cash back on the tax they pay on their employees, making it more affordable for businesses to take on new staff.
Now we're campaigning to create A Million More Jobs.
Julia Cambridge, working to build a stronger economy along with the Chesterfield Councillors and members, was out on Saturday campaigning for action to create more local jobs.
Chesterfield Liberal Democrats held a very successful day of action and would like to thank all the campaigners, activists, members and helpers, some of whom travelled from far away to join in and make the day a success!
A HUGE THANK YOU.
