Middlecroft and Poolsbrook
Fantastic New Leisure Centre!
Your Middlecroft Focus team would like to reassure you that work on the Staveley Healthy Living Centre is well under way, including it's fantastic swimming pool! Rumours have been flying around that the centre will not have a pool, but we can assure you we have seen the pool and we hope you all come and see it (and try it out!) when the centre opens, in February 2008.
Shedding Light on the Chantry.
The Chantry is home to the fantastic Gamezone, run by volunteers and used by over 200 children and young people a week. Recently the Chantry has been subject to rumour and speculation, about whether or not it will close. Your Staveley Focus team have been investigating and have been assured that at the moment there are no plans to close the centre, but that it will be moved to new premises in the Springwell School. We have asked what the timescale is on this and whether or not the new rooms will be provided free of charge, as they are now. We have also asked why there are no lights outside the centre and requested that lighting be installed asap as the area is very dark, especially now the nights are drawing in. We will let you know as soon as we receive a response.
