New Railings!
Your local Councillors Ray Russell, Nicky Qazi and Maureen Davenport have been working hard to get new railings put up alongside the Holmebrook opposite Loggins. The new metal railings replace the wooden ones which were continually vandalised. The new ones look very sturdy, we hope they last!

Future of the Footpath
The footpath between Linden Park Grove and Loggins is the subject of discussion. Some people say it should be blocked up due to the vandalism, but some people want it to remain open as they use it as a short-cut to get to Loggins and they want the steps made safer. Let us know what your views are and we will make sure they are represented!

- Crossing Wanted for Newbold Road
Petitions from residents of Brockwell Ward and St Helen's Ward have been sent to Derbyshire County Council asking for a crossing on Newbold Road to help residents cross the busy road. Many older residents find real difficulty in getting across safely to the Post Office. Derbyshire County Council have now replied but unfortunately say that a crossing is not a priority for them - but the Lib Dem team will keep on pressing! - Poor Visibility at Newbold Road Tesco
The Brockwell Lib Dem Focus Team have had complaints that turning left out of the Tesco's site on Newbold Road is a safety hazard. This is because the mobile phone mast equipment box makes it difficult to see traffic coming from the right into town. The matter has been reported to Derbyshire County Council who are investigating the problem. - Goldwell Hill Parking
Since the Brockwell Lib Dem Focus Team got the double-yellow lines put on the allotments side of Goldwell Hill, many vehicles have started parking on the other side of the road - sometimes causing a nuisance by blocking drives. The Focus Team reported this to Derbyshire County Council who say that the only thing they can suggest is for residents to ask for a white line to be painted across the drive entrance - but residents would have to pay for this.
